Tidying Up Hair on Photoshop

The one thing I never really knew until recently was how to neaten up hair so after a lot of experimenting, I think I've figured it out.

So I'm going to use this image which was made by a stock image artist Faestock. (Thank you :) )

First of all I used the liquify tool to add volume and a little bit of a crimp to the hair.
To find it go to Filter > Liquify... and use the brush to slowly pull the hair to get your desired effect. You will need to adjust the brush size. I do this constantly with the [ and ] buttons on the keyboard. Keep the pressure low as well. Mine is about midrange. 
 So I added some volume and waves to the hair.

Now to neaten it up a bit as you can see there are loads of stray hairs that could do with being removed.To do this we'll need help from my two old trusty friends, the Spot Healing Brush Tool and the Clone Stamp Tool






As you can see here, there are loads of stray bits of unwanted hair. 


 So I used the clone tool and alt-clicked on a space in the background and cloned over the majority of the hair and then corrected the small hairs with the spot healing brush tool.


So I wanted to adjust the stry hairs across the face. I used the spot healing brush to get rid of the stray hairs across the face and the I corrected it a bit using the clone tool.

And my final image is
