Changing Eye Colour - Photoshop Tutorial

Way back when I first started using Photoshop, I put up a little piece about changing eye colour on Photoshop, however I looked back over it and decided to redo it.

Once you master this little Photoshop trick, you can use it for anything, not just eye colour changing, but also adding make-up, changing hair colour and dodging and burning.

Step 1 :- Open up the image you want to edit.

I've gone for a selfie from when I was about 14 and adorable (seriously don't know what happened)
 Open a new layer
and it should end up just above the top layer
Step 2:- Use a paint brush to go over the features you want to adjust the colour of

I decided to go for red because I thought red eyes would stand out and also the image is on my Deviant Art under the name Evil Me so it seemed fitting
Paint over the eyes, try and avoid the pupil and the rim

Step 3:- Set the layer to Soft Light

I duplicated that layer and lowered it's opacity as I did not feel that the one layer was strong enough so I think 2 layers intensifies the colour however you may have to lower the opacity to around 60% otherwise it doesn't look right
The final image of me looking evil :)
And with a lot of practice and some guidance from few tutorials, I was able to edit this image, mostly using this painting technique
