Doll Photography

It's gotten pretty popular to use dolls and figures instead of actual models for portraits nowadays. This is one I did with a Bratz Doll  just for a test.

There are some much better examples on Google or sites like http://www.thephotographymarielclayton.com/, where Clayton use fully posable dolls that look as though they have been caught in candid moments and also she makes quite darkly humorous photographs such as Barbie decapitating Ken.

Another site is www.lauriesimmons.net, a photographer who deals with figures who are posed to look like traditional human models at first glance.

And finally https://www.facebook.com/dollpics, Sharon Wright is a photographer who takes photographs in the style of celebrity and glamour portraits.
